Signs Your Cat Is Sick
Cats generally do a good job of masking when they don’t feel well, so learning how to recognize if your cat is under the weather will help keep them happy and healthy.
• Body language. Your cat is holding their head low, squinting or closing their eyes, and/or their ears are lowered while their whiskers point downward.
• Lethargy. Your is unusually inactive, spends more time sleeping, or seems less interested in play and interaction, it may indicate an underlying health issue.
• Vomiting or diarrhea. Frequent or persistent vomiting and diarrhea can be a sign of various health problems, including gastrointestinal issues or infections.
• Changes in litter box behavior. If your cat starts urinating more frequently, has difficulty urinating, or experiences accidents outside the litter box, it could be a sign of urinary tract problems or other health issues.
• Changes in behavior. Increased aggression, hiding, excessive grooming, or vocalization, may signal discomfort or distress.
