Why dogs beg
One of the most common reasons dogs beg, is for food. They smell what’s on your plate, and they want some.
Steps you can take to deter your dog from begging
• Don’t share your food. Sharing your food can give your dog the impression that barking leads to a bite of your dinner.
• Feed your dog in a work-to-eat bowl or toy while you're eating. A few of our favorites are: the Fun feeder, KONG classic toy and Toppl. Providing your dog a work-to-eat bowl or toy while you eat will help keep your pup quiet and occupied while you’re eating.
• Feed your dog in a designated spot when you’re eating. Choose a spot to feed your dog while you’re eating (e.g. in the corner of the dining room, 5 feet from the table) and keep that spot consistent from night to night. If your dog hasn’t mastered Go to Mat, try a leash or crate to help them understand where to be during dinner.

• Lamb lung. Dogs love these and they're perfect because they're very small
